I’m Grayson & I’m a Brand Strategist.

I’m good at creating strategies that work, ones with forethought, and built-in indicators to signal success and when adjustments are needed.

I’m also good at telling stories that work. Ones with good timing, that use the right amount of details, and convey a little character.

Putting the two together I help companies become brands (by connecting good strategy to good story) —figuring out what they stand for, how they should sound, and how to say it in a way that actually lands (and converts!gotta keep the suits happy).

In my career, I’ve done everything from top-to-bottom in a marketing department. Which, for the record is not something I recommend, but I’ve done it. I’ve worked with companies before they were born and ones that could legally retire. The consistent thread has been what works: strong, goal-driven strategy and strong, intentional storytelling.

Whether I’m punching up a headline or mapping a full voice framework, I bring these two things with me:

1) A strategic approach that answers not just what are we doing, but why and how

2) A lens to see everything as an opportunity to define and deliver story.

(I will likely bring more things - I have a lot of things - Most of them thrifted.)

In my free time, you’ll find me adventuring with my fiancé, buying up all the world’s cool old junk, exercising really hard for 6 days then missing a single day and not exercising for the following 6 months, and occasionally I do comedy
